Virgularia sp.We took an underwater photography trip to the Philippines in December 2016 and returned in November 2024.
Sea pens are colonial marine cnidarians. Each polyp has eight tentacles. A single polyp forms the erect stalk (the rachis). Others form water intake structures, feeding structures, and reproductive structures.
